How to Search Patents by an Applicant : SEARCHABLE APPLICANT FIELDS
You can Search for all the patents by an Applicant at the USPTO based on any combination of Name, City, State or Country and a ranges of Dates.
Name
If you want to Search an Applicant by name, enter the Applicant's name in one of the following formats.
LASTNAME FIRSTNAME INITIAL
LASTNAME FIRSTNAME
LASTNAME INITIAL
LASTNAME
City
City of residence of the Applicant at the time of publication.
State
US state of residence of the Applicant at the time of publication.
If the Applicant resides outside the US, there is no State field.
Country
Country of residence of the Applicant at the time of publication.
If the Applicant resides in the US, there is no Country field.
NARROW SEARCH RESULTS WITH DATE FIELDS
This feature is available in all the Specialized Search Screens.
Once the Searchable Terms like Name ,Firm,State or Country is selected, Narrow the Search down to Current Week, Month, Year or a Date Range.
Current Week Get all the patents/publications based on your Search Terms issued in the current week.
Current Month Get all the patents/publications based on your Search Terms issued this Month
Current Year Get all the patents/publications based on your Search Terms issued this Year
Select Range Get all the patents/publications based on your Search Terms issued on Single Date or within a selected Date Range.
Click to select a Single(or Start) Date in which to search the Search Terms.
You can search for all the patents/publications issued on the Start Date or proceed to select End Date.
Click to select an End Date to search the Search Terms in the Date Range.
